Walpurgis at Trelleborgen

It's time to welcome spring with a cozy fire. We are reminded of the end of winter and rejoice in the arrival of spring.

17.00: The gates to the castle area and the Viking Museum are opened!
The Viking farm is open for visits. Our Viking-clad guides are on site at the farm to show and tell. Bring your own picnic basket or buy sausages and coffee in the Viking Museum.

19.00: The Walpurgis celebration begins in the Amphitheater!
-The evening's master of ceremonies, the museums' Malena Nilsson Wigström, welcomes you.
- The Trelleborg Chamber Choir sings in the spring.
- Mia Olin, City Manager, will give the speech in the spring.
- Folk musician Anna Fält performs Vårskrik, a mini-concert with gale and magic incantations and folk song.
- Finally, the evening's atmospheric fire will be lit in the meadow (The fire is expected to be lit around 19.45)

Cost: Swish payment on site 40 SEK. Free admission under 15 years. Children enter in the company of adults. Arrive well in advance to avoid queues.
Entrance: via Bryggaregatan at the "Medieval House" and via the Viking Museum at Västra Vallgatan. It is possible to pay by card and cash only in the Viking Museum.

The Borg Park is closed during the day until 17.00, after which entrance is restricted until 20.15.
The evening's weather and conditions during the evening may affect the program and the opportunity to light the fire, the event is subject to admission regardless.
Alcohol and barbecues are not allowed.
