Theme day at Trelleborgen: Forging

The Viking Age is the last part of the Iron Age, when people had learned to extract and manufacture objects from iron and steel. The important task of making everyday objects such as nails and horseshoes, but also expensive objects such as swords and jewellery was something that fell to the blacksmiths. On this day you can visit Trelleborgen's blacksmith out in the yard.
