Songs to freedom - Tribute to Björn Afzelius

The initiative for the tribute comes from Olle Nyberg, who for many years was a close friend of Björn. Olle also produced several of Björn's albums and stood by his side as a musician for over 15 years.
Together with the audience, we keep Björn's legacy alive – in a time where his clear-sightedness, commitment and humanism feel more relevant than ever. The repertoire includes classics such as "Song to Freedom", "To My Dear", "A Thousand Bits" and "Juanita", interspersed with personal anecdotes and memories from the years on the road, in the studio and on stage together with Björn."
Björn Afzelius was without a doubt one of the most significant and successful socially critical rock artists of his generation. With a strong political pathos and an unusual ability to reach straight into the welfare state, he was loved far beyond the traditional rock circles. With over two and a half million records sold, constant radio gigs and countless tours in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, his music has left a deep and lasting impression.
