Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in February 2014, but it was on February 24, 2022, that the war turned into the bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II. Up until Donald Trump's assumption of the U.S. presidency, the democratic world was largely united in its condemnation of Vladimir Putin's assault on Ukraine. Now, it seems Trump is siding with Russia and appears to want to weaken the so-called transatlantic link. Perhaps we are heading toward a completely different world order?
